A single child - spoilt , loaded with attitude , self obsessed , self centered , selfish the words that often come to a person's mind with a single word !! I , a single child myself have been told the same countless number of times but what people dont realise is that their is always a side to these children that is associated with loneliness . a side which thank fully i never went through .......
Being alone , growing up was i guess never a problem for me ...i learnt how to keep myself occupied , how to play with imaginary characters , how to keep making food for all my dolls and then as i grew old i found my first love , my best friends - MY BOOKS !!!
The good old days of st' clares, famous fives , secret seven , the mystery series ...all of them ..LOVELY !! ENID BLYTON ROCKSSSS !! ( buzz off from the page to whoever disagrees !! )
I am a very seasonal reader ( to all those who don't know what that means , most of u wont - itz my contribution to crappy English copyright devil ) ...seasonal reader is one who changes the genre ( isn't that for music ...hmmmmm.....i forgot watz itz for books :p) of books every season ....so it all started with " i m a feminist " books in school ...datz all about girls - detectives, bitches, crappy ones ....just any kinda girl then moved on to the no- nonsense type in high school ( strictly non- fiction , self improvement and stuff like that that leads to self actualisation :p ...dnt ask me what all dat means nowww !! )
then came college ( to whichever ass who said "10th and 12th standard ...datz all u need to work hard and life is made " especially a nerd would be brillliant doctor friend of mine who kept tirelessly repeating the same dialougue as that was the only motivating factor tht forced me to finish high school ...buzz offff ...u can never stop sloggging in life ...and life is always a BITCH ! ... ohhh datz for my ranting ) ...whr were we .....................yaaaa college ...college came with saving every penny ...waiting fot the 1st before asking dad to transfer money !! ...so that started my association with indian fiction ...a set of books that are nt given the due importance they deserve and that which are extremely cheap !!!! .... most of them potray INDIA ...india in itz true sense with a;ll the bollywood masala and rona dhona !! they give u the feel good factor ...which i think is a major part of INDIA ...but as there are 2 sides to a coin ...der are always a set of indian fiction that is boring and gibberish !!
so, here's an advice to all those bored folks outta there who are searching for some time pass to read ...lay ur hands on one of these cheap hinglish books which mostly have the cheesiest titles ...trust me ...choose the cheesiest title........... YOU WONT BE BORED !! :p
